50th Anniversary Camp “Great Success”

21 April 2011

The recent Camp held at Kibblestone International Campsite near Stone, Staffordshire was attended by more than 80 members and parents.

They enjoyed a wide range of fun scouting activities from pioneering and backwoods cooking to climbing and abseiling.

Peter Plowright, group Secretary and former Group scout leader, probably our oldest member. cut the celebration cake and led traditional songs around the campfire.

Ben Rolfe, a scout in the group, designed the commemoration badge and was presented with a certificate by scout leader, Geoff Hopwood to show his achievement.

New Group Scout Leader Ian Morris was also presented his appointment certificate.

Thank you to all who helped, organised and took part in the weekend, it was a great way to celebrate the past 50 years and look forward to the future.
