Brewood Cycle Challenge 2011 – Registration Open

8 March 2011

History of the Event

The Brewood Cycle Challenge began in 2010 in the picturesque village of Brewood in South Staffordshire.

Some 112 cyclists took part in the 2010 event riding through some of the most picturesque areas of the county and helping to raise some £4,600 for the BSF by riding one of the three road routes available dependant upon their abilities:

  • 16km (10 Miles) – a relatively easy ride with no severe inclines which was aimed at families or inexperienced cyclists;
  • 50km (30 miles) – with a few inclines for the regular cyclist or those who want to train for the event; and
  • 100km (60 miles) – a severe test of fitness for the experienced cyclists.

Each entrant took advantage of the course direction booklet, free car parking, on course light refreshments, checkpoints, course marshals and completion certificates and a very welcome hot meal at the finish … all included in the entrance fee!

We intend to make the event bigger and better each year.
